Ramazan-ı Şerif Water Well Opened in Ethiopia

Ramazan-ı Şerif Water Well Opened in Ethiopia

Water, the essence of life, humanity’s shared blessing… And a water well does not merely deliver this blessing; it becomes hope, becomes life, becomes a future. As İLA Association, we are experiencing the peace and joy of turning yet another dream into reality. The Ramazan-ı Şerif Water Well we built in the village of Kiruftu, in the town of Waliso, Ethiopia, has been opened for the service of the people.

A Life Project Born of the Blessing of Ramadan

Taking its name from the blessed month of Ramadan, the Ramazan-ı Şerif Water Well was completed in a short time through work begun right after Ramadan. Inspired by the spiritual atmosphere of this meaningful season, the project was carried out to provide clean and safe drinking water to the local people. The village of Kiruftu has now stepped toward a healthy life, free from the disease risk caused by contaminated water sources.

Tears of Joy at the Opening

At the opening of the well, there was an indescribable joy on the faces of the villagers. Women and children were happy that clean water was now just a few steps away. The opening of our water well was met with prayers and great enthusiasm. Emotional moments were experienced at the ceremony attended by representatives of the İLA Association, local officials, and the village elders. The tears flowing from a mother’s eyes showed once again that water is not merely a physical need, but also a spiritual comfort.

A Water Well: A Road Opening Toward Hope

Access to clean water is still not a luxury but an unimaginable need in many African countries. For this reason, every water well is not just a technical structure, but a concrete example of holding on to life. The Ramazan-ı Şerif Water Well in the village of Kiruftu contributes to the healthy growth of children, the hygienic living of families, and the ability of women to sustain their lives without having to search for water for hours.

A Bridge of Hearts Among the Benefactors

We sincerely thank all our benefactors who contributed to this project. Every donation scattered hope like a drop of mercy falling on parched soil. Having a water well dug is not merely a good deed; it is the most beautiful legacy left for the future.
