Friday Sadaqah
In Islam, Friday is the most important day of the week. It is an exceptional day when Muslims gather and pray together, remember and praise Allah, and when acts of worship are highly valued. Friday is also specifically emphasized in the Holy Quran. “O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off business. That is best for you, if you only knew.” (Surah Al-Jumu’ah, 9)
The Importance of Sadaqah
Our Prophet (PBUH) stated in a Hadith Sharif. “A piece of bread given as sadaqah grows as large as Mount Uhud in the sight of Allah.” (Tabarani)
In another Hadith Sharif, he stated, “Sadaqah does not decrease wealth. Allah only increases the honor of a forgiving servant. Allah
elevates the one who acts humbly for His sake.” (Muslim, Birr, 69) he stated.
