Education Kit
Islam is a religion that places great importance on education. There are provisions related to education and learning in more than 750 verses in the Holy Quran. These provisions clearly demonstrate the importance and necessity of education. The purpose of education in Islam is to raise a good human being and a good Muslim. A good human being is one who is knowledgeable, virtuous, just, and helpful. A good Muslim is one who fulfills the commands of Allah and avoids His prohibitions.
Islam and Education
Islam places great importance on education. This importance is clearly understood from the verses in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“Read in the name of your Lord who created.” (Al-Alaq 1-2)
“Whoever takes a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make the path to Paradise easy for him.” (Tirmidhi, Ilm, 19)
