Shukr Qurban
A Shukr Qurban is a sacrifice performed to express one’s gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon them by Allah. This qurban can be sacrificed in return for any kind of goodness and beauty that happens to a person.

The Ruling on Shukr Qurban
The Shukr Qurban is a nafl (supererogatory) act of worship that a person performs to express their gratitude to Allah. A person voluntarily decides to sacrifice an animal in return for any blessing or favor. The Shukr Qurban has an important place in our culture. From the past to the present, it continues to be sacrificed to give thanks for the beauties achieved and the goals reached.
The Animal to be Sacrificed
The animal to be sacrificed for the Shukr Qurban is the same as the qurbans sacrificed during Eid al-Adha. Some of these animals are: Sheep, Goat, Cattle, Camel. The animal sacrificed for the Shukr Qurban must be healthy and flawless. Furthermore, it is possible for the animal to be sacrificed by its owner or by someone else through proxy (wakalah).
A Shukr Qurban Can Be Sacrificed at Any Time
There is no specific time period for the Shukr Qurban. A person can sacrifice a Shukr Qurban at any time, whenever they wish. For example, a person may sacrifice a Shukr Qurban when a prayer is answered, when a wish comes true, when they are relieved from a distress, or when they attain a blessing.
The Meat of the Shukr Qurban
The meat of the Shukr Qurban can be eaten by everyone, including the person who sacrifices it. Unlike the vow (nazr) qurban, where the person making the vow, their parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren cannot eat the meat, this restriction does not apply to the Shukr Qurban.
